MEET MEAGAN

Founder & Owner of The Set Studio

Instructor and Certified Life Coach

Meagan is the owner of The Set Studio, instructor, Life Coach, wifey & mom of 3 littles. Her mission is to inspire + help empower women to achieve their goals and truly feel their best through mind{set} & fitness. Meagan helps her clients fall in love with fitness, drop the body BS (that so many of us have), and reclaim their power so they can achieve their goals— both big & small. To Meagan it's all about finding strength, confidence & freedom.

With a strong foundation in dance, Meagan fell in love with the challenge, balance, and grace of Pilates and Barre classes as soon as they were introduced to her. After years of over-exercising and being so hard on her body, she quickly saw her body change from these methods. Meagan went on to receive her 500-hour mat and comprehensive apparatus Pilates certification + multiple Barre Certifications. Her enthusiasm for movement shows through her high energy, musically driven classes. Seeing students achieve their fitness goals, build confidence and move to feel good is truly what drives her to teach. This studio has been a dream for a long time and she is thrilled to bring it to life!

Meet The SET Team

  • Kasie Sullivan

As a former gymnast, Kasie found that Barre came naturally as there are many similar movements. She trained in North Carolina with a premier ballerina for her certification through Core Barre Method. Kasie has been an instructor for 13 years and even owned her own popular barre studio. As a mom of 3 amazing “big” kids, she is busy keeping up with one in high school and two in college on opposite coasts. You can find her in the studio, traveling to see her kids or woking in her successful interior design business.

  • Kerissa Manheimer

Kerrisa has been teaching barre classes for over 10 years, including at locations in San Francisco and Boston. She enjoys teaching all types of formats, but has an affinity towards teaching strength, sculpt and cardio classes where she can challenge students both physically and mentally. When Kerrisa is not teaching, she works full time as a Physical Therapist, and moonlights as a PT consultant in the fitness industry, assisting in the development of safe and effective group exercise class formats. During class, you will notice that she loves to throw in fun anatomy facts. Kerrisa lives in Newburyport with her husband, Jeff, daughter, Madelynn, and Bernese Mountain dog, Frankie. Kerrisa loves to spend her free time traveling to new places and trying new restaurants.

  • Kim Baer

Kim began as a professional dancer in NYC performing in shows including Broadway’s Cats, Anything Goes, and Cinderella (WOW). She discovered barre fusion classes as a means of strength maintenance and injury prevention and fell in love with the method. She loved it so much she became an instructor. As an accomplished dancer & choreographer, her classes are full of energy, body love and strength. Kim moved to Newburyport to start a family and is so excited to teach at The Set Studio!

  • Meghan Hensher, Studio Manager

Megan is a mom of 3 littles (Lexie, William & Noah), Newburyport native, part time realtor with a background in Marketing who is thrilled to be a part of this team and to watch one of her best friend's dreams come true! Megan fell in love with Barre & Pilates about 8 years ago when she and her husband returned to Newburyport from England to settle down and start their family. As a mom of 3, Megan understands the importance of health & wellness, balance and having a supportive community. She can't wait for The Set to be a haven of self care and a breath of fresh air for every person who walks in the door. Fun fact, Megan grew up in the house that Meg and her family now live in! (It's her favorite story to tell, make sure you ask her.) Megan will be a friendly face in class, at the front desk and behind the scenes, feel free to reach out to her for any questions and she can't wait to workout with you!

  • Meghan Larson

Meghan left her first few yoga classes wondering what magic had just occurred. An avid runner, constant people pleaser and natural caretaker, she lived a life that was always onto the next thing without much thought to finding stillness and checking in. The study and practice of yoga has led to much self discovery, healing and community in the 15 years since.

The beauty of yoga is in its duality. While you’ll leave feeling calm and grounded, the end state can be reached through Meghan’s upbeat, fast paced flow with some laughs mixed in. Her classes are open to everyone and every body.
